Formed in 2003 Tri-it Gym has established itself within the Community of Ryton as a base for training, conditioning, rehab as well as performance triathlon coaching.
Husband and wife team Colin and Sue Gardener Own and run Tri-it Gym and have been instrumental in setting up and running Ryton Tri Club for over 10-years! Now focusing on triathlete coaching for individuals and groups Sue and Colin have created Triitcoachingevents.
Triitcoachingevents offers triathlon coaching and has evolved from the delivery and coaching support offered to triathletes and the need for quality competitive events over the last 10 years.
As lead coach Colin has developed his triathlon coaching knowledge and added skills and experience over the whole range of athlete development to enable a lifestyle approach to coaching philosophy.
Qualified to level 3 British Triathlon coaching and now Head Coach for the NE Regional Academy.

Having "retired" from main stream competition in 2007 I've continued to work and develop an understanding of the performance requirements of developing Elite Triathletes by working alongside performance coaches around England and the UK within the Talent Programme.
Being part of a National programme of Talent ensures the appropriate understanding of all of the component parts required to enable LTAD and athletes reaching their potential.
Sue has continued her managerial role at Tri-it Gym and developed a range of skills to enable the rehabilitation and continued health of hundreds of local residents. GP referal experience with in depth knowledge to enable her to development programmes for a number of serious and often life threatening conditions using exercise as a means to therapy. As well as developing her Triathlon Coaching understanding to assist many triathletes to reach their goals!
